Kirtan for Kids

Bhakti for little ones: singing, stories, and soulful play

Where Ancient Wisdom Meets a Child's Wonder

Kirtan for Kids is a synthesis of sound, storytelling, and mindfulness born through my transformative travels in India. While formally studying Hindustani classical music and Sanatan Dharma, I learned very quickly how accessible these teachings could be for kids, and how deeply they can benefit from learning about themselves through this lens.

This initiative stems from a deep reverence for this culture and a response to how frequently these traditions are diluted or misinterpreted in the West. My mission is to offer youth an accessible gateway to these practices that honors their true essence. What I share comes directly from my sincere, ongoing studies here in India—offering a grounded, authentic foundation rather than a Westernized version of the practice.

Each session is an adventure in sound and story: kids join in lively call-and-response singing (Kirtan) in both English and Sanskrit, listen to tales of daring Gods and wise Goddesses originating from the Puranas, and explore creative ways to move, breathe, and reflect together (asana and pranayama). This workshop series celebrates the timeless practice of Bhakti Yoga: the cultivation of selfless, unconditional love—all while helping kids feel more present, expressive, and connected in themselves and with each other.

I have had the privilege of leading this program in both the U.S. and India, alongside my continued classical studies. Learn more below!

Price is entirely dependent on the length of each class, travel time, and any necessary materials. The pricing model I use is designed to be both flexible-and structured vs a ‘one size fits all’ fixed rate. I’ve found that this helps both of us meet in the middle.
